The permit is issued for the duration of the employment contract or the contract concluded for the performance of work, but for no longer than two years.<\/p>         <\/div>\n has-republika-font-family\">\n            <p><b>What conditions must I meet to obtain a single permit?<\/b><\/p> <p>To be issued with a single permit, you must meet the general conditions for temporary residence that apply to all foreign nationals as well as the conditions for employment or work laid down in the regulations governing the employment of foreign nationals.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p> <p><b>General conditions under Article 33 of the Foreigners Act:<\/b><\/p> <ul> <li>a valid passport;<\/li> <li>appropriate health insurance;<\/li> <li>sufficient means of subsistence,<\/li> <li>a certificate of no criminal record from the country of origin.<\/li> <\/ul> <p><b>Specific conditions depending on the type of permit \u2013 single residence and work permit:<\/b><\/p> <ul> <li>a concluded employment contract or contract for services,<\/li> <li>appropriate education,<\/li> <li>employer\u2019s statements,<\/li> <li>consent of the certificate?<\/i><\/a>);<\/li> <li>an employment contract signed by the employer;<\/li> <li>proof of appropriate education or professional qualification or other requirements specified by the employer;<\/li> <li>a signed statement from the employer\/client indicating whether accommodation is provided or not;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li> <li>a statement from the employer indicating whether, in the six months prior to the submission of the application, they terminated employment contracts for business reasons for one or more employees who meet the conditions for the post. If so, the statement must include the date(s) of service of notice of termination and the personal name(s) of the employee(s).<\/li> <\/ul> <p><b>The procedure for submitting the application and documentation generally consists of the following steps:<\/b><\/p> <p>1. Submission of the application with all required documentation. If you are lawfully residing in the Republic of Slovenia, you may submit the application at any Administrative Unit; otherwise, you can do so at the nearest diplomatic or consular mission of the Republic of Slovenia.<\/p> <p>2. Fingerprint capture process (either at the time of submission of the application or later in the procedure).<\/p> <p>3. The Administrative Unit examines the application.<\/p> <p>4. The Administrative Unit obtains consent for employment issued by the Employment Service of Slovenia (ESS). (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ess.gov.si\/en\/jobseekers\/employment-of-non-eu-migrant-workers\/work-in-slovenia\/single-permit?\"><i>In which cases is ESS consent required?<\/i><\/a>)<\/p> <p>5.   <div class=\"faq-item_content mt16 mb16\">\n                            <p>The single residence and work permit is issued in the form of a card containing your personal data and the purpose of residence. The single residence and work permit will be served on you in person. Once the single permit is ready, the diplomatic mission or consular post of the Republic of Slovenia abroad or the Administrative Unit in Slovenia will invite you to collect it in person. Even if the application was submitted by your employer, the single permit will be served on you personally.<\/p>\n<p>Exceptionally, you may collect the single residence and work permit in person in the territory of Slovenia even if you applied for the permit abroad. If you submitted the application for a single residence and work permit at a diplomatic mission or consular post of the Republic of Slovenia abroad, and you have already provided fingerprints and are lawfully residing in the Republic of Slovenia, the single residence and work permit may be served on you in Slovenia.
